Who doesn’t love the suspense of Judges’ Houses? The acts are within touching distance of the live shows, which means they’ll soon be jetting off around the world for a chance to impress the judges and their special guests.
We’ve already rounded up the best Judges’ Houses locations of all time, and this year’s pick is just as good.
In fact, we’re pretty jealous.
Here’s where the contestants are heading, and why we wish we were going too…
Nice, South of France
Judge: Nicole Scherzinger
Category: The Boys
This year, the Boys are heading down to the fashionable French Riviera.
It’s the ideal place to get a taste of the high life. Nice’s palm-tree lined beaches have long been the playground of the rich and famous – even superstar singer Elton John has a villa here.
You won’t just find musicians hanging around, either. Nice has inspired some of the most famous painters in the world. In fact, you’ll find museums devoted to two of them, the Musee Matisse and the Musee National Marc Chagall.
The local food’s good too. Try the Pan Bagnat – a kind of salade niçoise pizza – or the chickpea-based La Socca. Better yet, go upmarket and have lunch at the Lido Plage at their seaview restaurant.

Ah, Malibu. The word conjures up a sun-kissed world of endless beaches (as well as a well-known brand of rum, and the world’s most famous Barbie).
Malibu is home to the world’s first surfing reserve – Surfrider Beach. It’s also where some of the world’s most famous people have their mansions, with views overlooking the sea. Which is a good thing, because Malibu’s lucky enough to get sunshine pretty much all-year-round.
Away from the beach, there are upmarket shopping centres like Malibu Country Mart and Malibu Lumber Yard.
But let’s be honest, with weather this good you’ll probably want to hang around outside – the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is where you’ll find 500 miles of hiking trails.
That’ll keep you busy.
Los Angeles, USA
Judge: Sharon Osbourne
Category: The Overs
This year, Sharon Osbourne, Robbie Williams and The Overs are off to the City of Angels, otherwise known as the entertainment capital of the world.
As well as being the home of Universal Studios Hollywood, LA is also known for its lovely beaches. Venice Beach and Santa Monica Beach are where most people head to catch a tan or have a dip in the sea.
And could you go to LA without taking a little shopping de-tour down Rodeo Drive or The Grove? We think not.
If it’s musical inspiration you’re after, then LA has probably had more songs dedicated to it than any other place. The Beach Boys and Guns N’ Roses – we’re looking at you.
Judge: Louis Walsh
Category: The Groups
Louis Walsh is mentoring the Groups this year. And where better to take a big group of music lovers than Ibiza?
The island is world famous for its nightlife. You might spend your days lying on Cala Jondal or Salamanca beach. But by night, it’s all about the music.
If you’re not throwing some shapes in superclubs like Pacha, Ibiza Rocks and Space, then you can be sitting back and watching the sunset listening to some chill out music in Cafe Del Mar.
But Ibiza also has a more relaxed side. Losing yourself in the windy, cobbled streets of The Old Town is a great way to escape the heat, as is popping inside churches such Es Cubells, San Antonio and Santa Maria d’Eivissa.
